Flat Rate Pricing Guidelines
Flat rate prices are for qualifying businesses, individuals, and non-profits only. To receive flat rate pricing, your business or other entity must be:
- a self-employed individual with a small or start-up business
- an artisan, artist, musician, writer, or of another creative occupation
- a community-enhancing enterprise
- an interesting non-profit project
YouCanWeb.Net, at its sole discretion, determines whether a client qualifies. A potential flat rate client may be refused without giving a reason.
Flat rate pricing also requires that the qualifying client follow certain guidelines. At these rates, we assemble, debug, and upload pages for you, we don't write copy or create graphics. Unless we agree in advance, site contents must be provided by you, the client, finished, in an electronic format which is usable by us. Common means of doing this are burning files onto a CD, and emailing images and text.
Minor image manipulation or photo retouching -- for the purpose of creating the necessary buttons, banner ads, and headings -- is included in the flat price. More complicated work, and extensive image re-do's, will be billed at the regular hourly rate.
These rates also don't allow for multiple page revisions. We will make every effort to make the page fit the preferences indicated by the basic design you provide (such as business stationery), your filled-out start up questionnaire, or other sites which have the approximate look you want. Be advised that many well-known sites were developed at the cost of tens of thousands of dollars and have full time maintenance staff. We try to keep it simple "for your own good."
Unless you opt for monthly management, you will be responsible for maintaining your site after it is installed in good working order. Extensive consultation time will be billed at the hourly rate ($24 an hour). You will always be notified in advance if extra charges will apply.
